Road to Skagway

There was beautiful scenery on the way to Skagway as shown by this view of some snow covered mountains. The lake was still frozen so it is pretty cold here. We have had to break out our warmer clothes.

  1. Wow - what a trip. Google shows it to be 3500 mi. Doesn't look like you can drive to Glacier Bay National park but I can see that you are surrounded by glaciers. That is why you see frozen lakes and snow. Will you go to the Klondike Gold Rush park? Are you going down to Haines and take the Haines Hwy or do you have to go back? Looks like ony 800 mi to Anchorage.

  2. We took a ferry across to Haines and stayed there 4 days. Then we went on to Valdez.
